Amir Gaffer

I'm a software engineer at mcThings, and I founded AmG AI on the side. I care more about how a system actually holds together than about shipping any one feature — still early in my career, still learning, but already building things people rely on.

ARVIS

personal

An ongoing personal project: a context-aware agent with voice interaction, conversational Q&A, and search, aware of whatever page I'm currently looking at. It can create files and draft emails, and only sends one after I explicitly approve it. Still evolving, not a finished autonomous product.

Smith Bros. Floors

AmG AI

A real software project I built through AmG AI: a public website, a lead-to-quote flow with project details and estimates, and online booking, plus an internal side for lead handling, follow-up, and referrals — with a digital liability agreement, signature capture, and automatic signed-PDF delivery.

Agent workflow system

private system

A private agent system I built around one person's real content and workflow needs: gathering information from a single prompt, formatting it to their preferences, email-related workflows, and social-media planning — scripts, reel and story ideas, and posting strategy.

Junior Full-Stack Developer

mcThings

I work across the database, backend, and frontend of mcThings' inventory and manufacturing software. I led a redesign of how inventory integrity is tracked — deriving on-hand stock from actual movements instead of a single stored number — and reworked the BOM and build workflow, alongside deployment and systems work.

Founder

AmG AI

I started AmG AI to build useful software and applied-AI systems around real business workflows. I handle the work end to end — understanding the problem, designing the system, building it, and working directly with the people who use it.

Program Lead / Soccer Coach

Umoja Community Mosaic

I started at Umoja as a volunteer, teaching soccer to kids and helping with after-school programs, and grew into coaching and program-lead responsibilities. I worked directly with children and families, ran soccer programming and activities, and took on more responsibility across after-school and summer programs over time.

I finished high school without a clear plan, so I took a gap year and got serious about building software instead of just studying it. That became AmG AI, and the relationships from it led me to mcThings, where a temporary role turned into full-stack engineering work. University's still part of the plan — just not yet.

Soccer has stuck with me for years, and running and training keep me grounded outside of work. I like collecting experiences more than repeating the comfortable ones. There's a lot more I want to build, and lately I've been pulled deeper into the backend, data, and AI side of it.
